Scope & status
This review draft describes the current WorldLens website and waitlist implementation. WorldLens is in development. Prepared demonstrations do not provide live research or connect to a personal account.
WorldLens is operated by WorldLens LLC, based in New York, United States. For privacy questions and requests, email legal@worldlens.io. Production service providers and applicable regional requirements must be confirmed before this draft is adopted.

Information collected
The current signup implementation records your email address, signup time, your questionnaire answers about your goals, interests and news preferences, the version of the launch-update consent, and a protected representation of a private removal key.
The server uses a connection address to limit repeated requests. The database stores a keyed daily digest of that address with request counts, rather than the raw address. Expired rate-limit records are cleared during later requests. Production hosting logs and any additional provider processing have not yet been verified for this notice.

How information is used
The signup record supports managing the waitlist, recording a request for launch updates, avoiding duplicate entries and processing removal requests. Questionnaire answers help us understand prospective readers and guide product development. Temporary request information supports abuse prevention.
Resend sends the welcome email after signup. Launch email campaigns are not configured. See the welcome email section below for delivery details.

Browser storage & tracking
The signup page can save a private removal key in your browser’s local storage so you can manage a saved signup from that browser. Clearing browser storage removes this local copy; it does not by itself remove the server’s signup record.
We count public page views, signup-quiz opens and newly saved signups by page and source, such as Google or X. These counters use our existing hosting and database providers. They do not use analytics cookies, browser storage, visitor IDs or device fingerprints. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by not recording these events. The site still processes a signup if you choose to join.
Only a fixed page name and source category are sent to the counting endpoint. Full referring addresses, query strings, private signup links, emails and questionnaire answers are not stored in the counters. Each view or quiz-open event has a temporary random receipt to prevent duplicate counting; it is not reused to identify a person or join events into a browsing history. Receipts and keyed abuse-prevention digests expire after one day; daily totals expire after 90 days. Expired records are cleared on subsequent counting requests. Hosting providers may still process connection information in their own logs.

Providers & disclosures
Vercel hosts the website and signup endpoint. Supabase stores waitlist emails, questionnaire answers, consent records and removal-key hashes in its US East region. Resend sends welcome emails, as described below. Provider retention, logging and any additional international processing still need review before this notice is finalized.
Production sharing practices, including any sale or advertising-related sharing, must be confirmed rather than assumed from the local code.

Retention & protection
The current implementation keeps a signup record until it is removed. It does not implement an automatic retention deadline. A production retention schedule, including any backups, remains to be set.
The production database blocks public access to signup records. The server stores a hash of the removal key and keeps database credentials out of the browser. These safeguards do not guarantee security.

Your choices & requests
If your signup returns a private removal link or key, keep it private. The signup flow supports using it to remove the corresponding record. If you lose that key, contact legal@worldlens.io for assistance.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. To raise a privacy request, email legal@worldlens.io. The final notice must confirm applicable rights, verification procedures and response requirements.
Welcome email delivery
After you join, we use Resend to send a welcome email to your address. This is not an email-verification step. Resend processes the recipient address, email content and delivery information. Your questionnaire answers are not included in that email.
We keep a private delivery record to avoid repeated messages and retry failed attempts. A queued message contains an encrypted copy of the email, including your removal link; that copy is cleared when Resend accepts the message. Removing your signup also removes its queued message and delivery record. You can leave the waitlist using the link in your email.
Early testing
If you choose to express interest in early testing, we save your Alpha, Beta, or Either preference with your waitlist signup and use it to contact you about testing opportunities. Leaving the waitlist removes this preference too.

Updates & contact
This page is not yet an adopted privacy notice. Its review date identifies the draft, not an effective date. Material changes to the actual service must be reflected in the final notice.
